My work which is both artisanal and traditional requires patience, precision and skill. I use various clays:

  - red for tiles and bowls,

  - white or black for platters and jewellery

My creations are either wheel-worked or slip cast.

Glazing by ladle or by dipping obtains a light bluish hue that brings life to the tile.

I play with contrast: black clay enveloped with vivid colours, or soft tones from wash-out oxides.

The decorating on non-cooked clay or on biscuit is done with a paint brush and copper, cobalt, manganese oxides or with liquid clay. No mistakes are allowed.

Each piece is cooked twice in an oven set at 1000°C. It is while the pieces are in the oven that the colours are revealed. The precise temperature setting is what determines the brilliance or their delicacy.
